Tegenaria trogalil Aharon & Gavish-Regev, 2023

Tegenaria trogalil is one of seven species of Troglobitic funnel spiders (Agelenidae) currently known from Israel. It is recorded from six humid, karstic caves in the Upper Galilee.

Tegenaria trogalil exhibits troglomorphic traits: discoloration and reduced eyes. The number of eyes differs between different caves, between six and eight.

Hunting in this species is accomplished similarly to other agelenids: with a horizontal funnel web.
